Clos Jacquemeau ({klo ʒakmo}) comes a very unique and exceptional plot that Jérôme and Gilles Carles acquired a few years ago to produce a wine of high quality in small quantity. Thanks to this very special terroir, Clos Jacquemeau pruduces wines that are fruity, powerful and elegant. Grape varieties: 80% Merlot & 20% Cabernet Franc Average vine age: Vines are between 35 and 50 years old Vinification: Traditional wine making in concrete tanks. The wine is aged in French oak barrels, using 80% of new ones, for a period of 12 months. Food & wine pairing: Roasted duck breast with mushroom risotto. Ideal temperature: 58/61°F When should I drink it? Between now & 2025 – Enjoy now, ready to drink (decanter for 1 or 2 hours). Powerful and elegant with licorice and cocoa aromas and very silky, perfectly integrated tannins. Great balance.
